Blogging – The Universal Solution?
Blogs and blogging has become such a universal solution for the development of websites. It is interesting to see just how many big internet marketing players launch new products and services which are either built on or supported by blogs.
Their origins may not be immediately obvious after a css coder has been recruited to produce a unique skin but a little digging around will often give the show away.
So if it is such a ubiquitous and flexible tool for the big guys then it is hardly surprising that it has become so dominant for beginners. The monthly meeting of the London Mastermind Group is a point in question. We must spend more than 50% of our time discussing blogs as each member raises their issues for discussion and the answer is almost always a blog. It is simply the easiest way for anyone to do one of two things.
- Firstly, to move the knowledge and expertise in their heads onto the web.
- Secondly, if they don’t have expertise of their own and are going to be affiliate marketers then to build websites quickly which are easily picked up by the search engines and can be promoted with little difficulty.
Anyway, all of this was just a prelude to my saying that whereas so far ‘Blogging‘ as a subject has been relegated to a sub-section of ‘Building Websites’ on this site I have just promoted it to it’s own slot. So if you want to know what I think about blogging then visit the Blogging page that you can find under Browse in the right hand column.
